The unrelated bonus story with the possessed cactus was my favorite part.

Fuuuuuuuu. I swear to god I have never read anything so frickin cute. And there's only two volumes. two. And I just finished it. Okay, that's enough for today Satan.

And the end... Such a short and sweet love story! Loved kind Yuiko, innocent beast Leo, ridiculous crybaby Toku -san and other funny characters. Even between some cliches, the love of Leo and Yuiko's shines brightly. They are too cute and make me all happy and warm inside. 4 ☆

Quite disappointed that this is the last one... I was hoping for an entire serie, but its just these two.

Cute story :) The last extra chapter was great. I mean about Leo telling Yuiko, he loved her and blushing after that! So cute! :)

"We're all the same Leo." Yuiko learns of Leo's past and why he was raised in the wild. And when the past forces Leo to make a decision, the two realize their feelings for each other. Everything was nice...until you find that the volume only has 2 chapters and the rest of it was comprised of a one shot. Rather than paying for two separate volumes I would prefer the whole manga bundled together instead of making me pay for less of a story than I thought I was getting. The rest of Beast Master was cute and ended nicely but the fact that not all my money's worth went into this volume makes me feel a little duped. I do recommend this 2 volume series but wanted to let you know what your money was going to. I buy all the manga I read/review and don't support scans.

Finally finished it. I really liked this one. Short and sweet. It could have gone on longer, but I'm glad it didn't. There's only so many times you can have the same thing over-and-over again, and if this had gone on any longer, it would have been repetitive. It ended just right. That bonus chapter, however, I think should have been considered part of the main story. I think it would've been a nice epilogue rather than a "bonus."

The plot was interesting and the characters fit together so well. Thoug the series was really short and I wish that it was longer (>.<) it was good while it lasted. But then he came back so it's aight. Then they kissed, YAY!:D So overall, the series was amazing and entertaining and cute and hilarious. I recommend EVERYONE read it. AHAHHAHA ♥LEOOOOOOO

Awww.... I wish this series had been more than a volume and a half long! Super sweet - I'm not sure what it is about Motomi-sensei's work but so far it seems that I always end up loving it! I might have to check out more of her work!! I really liked the short story at the end of this volume too. I totally cried during it! Super sweet and touching with a bit of silliness. Motomi-sensei sure know show to pull at your heart strings! Highly recommend this if you love cutesy, lovey dovey manga! (or if Awww.... The second and final volume of the Beast Master series by Kyousuke Motomi. As always, the art and dialogue were great and the story was driven to a good conclusion. It was a good ending, perhaps a little too short. I didn't read the other short story that is included in this volume- maybe some other time.

I'm sad it's over so soon, and that it only took two chapters to wrap up the story. It was so sudden. ;_; I really enjoyed the bonus manga about a magical cactus, it was delightful.

Love how the story all ties together quickly, and has its cute and intense moments all the more. His guardian is so devoted to him it's hilarious. It a quick read, if you like love stories, with little twists and turns. I love re-reading this because it is just so adorable.

Leo is ADORABLE! the butler who takes care of him, can't remember his name right now, is so funny and kinda creepy. I love the relationship between the two main characters. I wish the series would have been longer but it's definitely on my list as one of my favorites.

Yuiko and Leo's relationship is going along nicely when plot happens. Leo is the heir to a huge fortune and is about to get it when he turns eighteen. Leo's family is trying to kill him and that is the main conflict for this volume. It scares Yuiko because she cannot protect Leo from these very horrible people. They are both scared and do not know how to talk to each other about it. But this is a happy shojo manga so they are together in the end and it is so sweet. The last chapter is about Yuiko and Leo confessing their feeling for each other. I really enjoyed this series and I want to read more from this author. I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

"I made a decision. More than safety or happiness, I want you Yuiko. I don't know how I can smile at a place where you are not there." Leo is turning eighteen and Yuiko has his birthday all planned out. She decided on the time and bought a present. When they were on their way to meet each other, Leo was hit by a car and rushed to the hospital. It was a miracle that he survived that straight on impact. In the hospital, Yuiko finally learns the truth about Leo's past, his upbringing and the secrets that made him live in the wild instead in a civilized society. Everything makes sense afterwards. Regretfully, despite knowing all of that Yuiko still ends up as a hostage and the only one who can save her is the injured Leo. This manga is really fresh and unique. The boy isn't your typical all-knowing, well-liked, too-handsome-for-his-own-good kinda boy. He has a tough exterior that hides his inner kind nature. Yuiko is on the other hand, a well liked person but not too popular. She is the kinda girl who easily makes friends and cares for others. Their pairing is perfect. She is the only one who really knows him and the only one who can calm his inner beast. Leo is the perfect type for Yuiko too. The one she has to care for but the one who will always stay by her side and protect her despite being childish and easygoing. I really liked the art. It's detailed but not too imposing. It shows emotion but it also nicely handles the action. The only thing that sometimes bothered me was too much text at once which made letters quite small and a bit difficult to read. But other than that, I have zero complaints. It really came as a surprise when I learned this manga only has two volumes. I can't see why so little. The material should have been enormous. The idea of a shady past, supernatural abilities and slow but steady romance should have been more than enough to produce a long lasting manga. I for one, would still like to follow it. Unfortunately, we won't get our wish but I'll hold this manga in my top shelf and always remember it with fond emotions. "Yuiko, be with me. (kiss)"

I enjoyed the first volume of Beast Master, though it was a little more on the strange side than my usual manga. I was expecting a little more to the series though. When I picked up this volume from the library it had "final volume" printed on the back. I think it's good that there are only two volumes though because I've gotten interested in a few different manga series lately and the fact that this one is over will free me up to get through the others. Yuiko begins to develop deeper feelings for Leo. After he's hit by a car, she's forced to explore those feelings. Leo's always been very affectionate and Yuiko has mostly deflected the attention. Now, she's learning to give in to her feelings a little bit. This volume tells the story of Leo's past: why he spent time in the wild and why people seem bent on killing him. Yuiko becomes fiercly protective, almost as much as Toki (Leo's bodyguard). The volume is short, but it includes a very sweet bonus chapter and a one shot (that I didn't bother to read). Beast Master is a short series, only two volumes, but it's cute. I liked Yuiko and Leo and I thought the premise was really interesting. I recommend this lovers of shojo manga with a twist. A note: although VIZ has rated this manga "Older Teen," I never came across anything that I thought would be inappropriate for younger readers.
