I want more from this author! Excellent job writing Olivia's character, she really pretty much was the average girl. I love how she took her love of the experience of casually meeting a celebrity and made it into a job helping others. Yes, I could foresee some of the situations that happened in the book, but it doesn't matter because it's such a fun read. And without those situations, there wouldn't be a book. I'd like to read about more celebrity meetings, I wonder if there's a way to turn this into a series? Someone needs to turn this into a movie, I can definitely see that happening. I'm a sucker for a cute Rom-Com. It was fun reading about the celebrities in the book and I found myself wondering who they could be based on, if anyone. Though, I have a sneaking suspicion that I might know where the blue eyes and Boston accent came from for one singer/actor. :)

What a fun book! I was a teensy bit hesitant to read this - not my usual genre, PLUS it was recommended to me by a good friend, who is friends with the author. This could go badly... You like Olivia quickly & easily; you clearly see the positive effect her business has on her clients; and then you're rooting for her to get the guy - she deserves him, & he wants her. The author even shows the moral quandary Olivia finds herself in, wrestling with trying to be true to herself, to her clients, & to Alexander. I'd say the most glaring glitch is the way the confrontation with Alexander over her career unfolds: it just happens. The possibilities for this reveal were endless & ripe; having him just find files in her office was a bit disappointing. Overall, this is a great light summer read. It just might surprise you. Enjoy!

This is a delightful summer read. I had a smile on my face the whole time reading it. Olivia is such a likable character with good morals even though her job seems a bit shady at first. It becomes clear quickly that she is making her clients dreams come true by meeting a star but in a very classy way. Seeing her at work with her clients is sweet but when she meets a star for herself on accident, and starts to date him her world gets a bit topsy turvy. She makes some choices she may regret. Well you’ll see when you read the book. I received this book for free since I know the author but it did not affect my review. I was so impressed by the book. I didn’t know she could write!

What a fun, charming, witty read. I honestly had an enjoyable time reading this book. Olivia is really a professional when it comes to pairing her star struck clients with their celebrity crush for an accidental "meeting". This book is a quick read that after you finish it you will be a little sad that it has ended. Which speaking of the ending was a good one. I will be keeping my eyes on this author and more books to come.

Wow, what a breath of fresh air! The author wrote a tale so cute yet it carried a lot of weight of entertainment. All wrapped in a delightful story of Olivia, celebrities, love and not so loved, a good chick story. I enjoyed it so much, no confusion, no displacement just smooth reading and relatable characters. I received a free book through the Goodreads First Read Giveaway. Thank you, Darlene Cruz.

A cup of coffee leads to dates and attending a movie premiere, but what should Olivia do when a client wants to meet Alexander? What can an average girl do when her world is turned upside down, and she is faced with the decision to choose between love and business? This is such a fun book to read, the author does a wonderful job of transporting the reader into the world of Hollywood celebrities and their star-struck fans. Who hasn't fantasized about meeting their favorite celebrity, let alone in a casual everyday setting? You can't help but get drawn into Olivia's story as she tries to balance her business and her romance with Alexander, especially when she keeps her business a secret from him. I was intrigued by her extensive research into the celebrities' lives and the different types of chance meetings that she arranged for her clients, that I would definitely use her services to meet my favorite celebrities! The Average Girl is a well written lighthearted romantic comedy that has a wonderful mixture of romance and humor interwoven throughout the story. So if you are a fan of chick lit and romantic comedy novels that features the glitz and glamour of Hollywood seen through the eyes of an average girl, then this delightful book is a must read! This is a wonderfully refreshing book. So cute and easy to read. One of those that as soon as you start it you feel compelled to continue because it’s great entertainment. Olivia has set up a flourishing business helping ordinary folk ‘meet’ the stars of their dreams without the celebs realising it is a set-up. She goes to extreme lengths to figure out their schedule so that a ‘casual’ meeting can occur. Olivia is a likeable character and I found myself willing her to succeed and be happy herself. She is after all just Miss Average .. she then occidentally bumps into Alexander in the grocery store. He is the gorgeous actor, total heart-throb and she is smitten .. but how can she continue her business without telling him what she does without putting their relationship in jeopardy. The twists and turns with her friends and love interests are both funny and cringe-worthy .. keep reading until the end to find out if Olivia gets a man! I really enjoyed this. I received it to review but it’s one I would have chosen myself if I saw it on the shelf due to the cover colour scheme. I would really like to read some more by Angelina. Thanks to the author and Pump Up Your Book Tours for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

The one thing that stuck out the most is that she told these women to act natural...not like a crazed fan because that won't get you anywhere. I thought it was quite funny how Olivia manages to meet a celebrity using her own methods, but not on purpose, and this celebrity becomes more than just a casual acquaintance. Of course she puts herself into dangerous waters by not being up front with him about what she does for a living. But I can see where it might be hard to tell a celebrity that you arrange meetings with other celebrities for your clients. would seem rather odd. Now of course Olivia has some friends in her corner that keep her grounded...and her brother Preston can be a bit of a killjoy, but he does it out of love and protection. Overall the book was well written and very enjoyable...and even made me wonder how I would act if I were in the position of meeting one of my favorite actors. Heck I know I get giddy meeting authors as they are celebrities to me!

What a breath of fresh air this story was for me, transporting me back to a time in my life when being an avid pop and movie star fanatical fan, was a huge part of growing up. As a twelve year old, in 1964, I would have given anything to have met The Beatles. I loved those four mop-tops with all my heart, living and breathing their music every waking moment. Imagine if The Average Girl actually existed and Olivia could arrange for me to meet my idols. My mind boggles at the thought. I have never read a book like this before. It’s much more than the usual boy meets girl romance. Olivia, whilst in the business of making dreams come true for her clients, finds herself inadvertently swapping roles. Organising meetings with famous people is second nature. Calm, cool, collected...three words that yesterday would have aptly described Olivia. But today she is vastly different. What a difference a day makes. Or should I say what a difference a movie star makes to the average girl. This well written story is heartfelt and has a reality about it I found myself being swept into. I couldn’t help but put myself in Olivia’ shoes. I felt her joy, her pain and the sheer excitement of being thrown into the fantasy world of a star-struck idol.

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book to review. This was cute! It's a fun, quick read with a plotline that reminds me of a Sophie Kinsella novel. He was a realistic, well-written character that I liked. I feel like Maria, Charlie and especially Preston could have used some more development, though. This could be because this was a shorter book, so it's not a huge issue with Charlie and Maria, but I don't remember seeing any conversations between just Olivia and Preston, which is weird because they were supposed to be so close to each other. I loved how the end turned out, but I would have loved even more to get to see the conversation between Charlie and Alexander. Bonus scene please!

The Average Girl is a romantic comedy about a woman who sets up meetings between celebrities and fans as her job. Super cute light-hearted story about a woman who arranges for her clients to cross paths with their favorite celebrities in casual, real-life situations. As I was reading, I could see a very cute movie being made from this, although casting would be critical. I think my teen daughter might even like it, and there was nothing inappropriate for her, so when she next asks if I have any romance books for her, I'll let her give this a try.

So excited when I got my copy of Angelina Goode’s first novel The Average Girl. This book has a super cute and original concept of meet your favorite celebrities doing everyday things. You get to follow the main character Olivia as she prepares the “meetings” for her clients all while carrying a relationship with a celebrities that does not know what she does. Cute story line and cute concept. This is a quick fun read!
